







Natural Medicine and Edible Plant Study Tour
Dr. Afra Tsang of Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) led a student delegation to London, UK, from July 20 to July 30, 2025, for an academic study tour on medicinal and edible plants. The itinerary was exceptionally rich!
The group visited the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew—the world's largest and most diverse botanical gardens—where they engaged with local botanical experts. They explored traditional and modern applications of medicinal plants, as well as principles of sustainable horticulture and gardening practices. Additionally, they visited the University of Oxford, where they toured Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum and gained knowledge about phytochemistry and species conservation. They also explored various colleges and landmarks, learning about their historical significance.
Furthermore, they attended the 13th Good Practice-Traditional Chinese Medicine (GP-TCM) Research Association Annual Meeting, themed“One Health-Potential for the Integration of Chinese Medicine.”The conference covered pharmacology, toxicology, acupuncture, clinical practice guidelines, quality assurance, and related fields. The conference also invited experts from various regions worldwide. Teachers and students seized this opportunity to exchange insights with these specialists, broadening their horizons and gaining valuable knowledge!
