Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Hong Kong Youth Internship Scheme

In light of the Youth Internship Programme ‘Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Hong Kong Youth Internship Scheme’ jointly launched by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, students from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy programme at Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong undertook a one-month internship at the Zhongshan Chen Xinghai Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from 24 July to 29 August this year.

Students gained experience across various hospital departments, including learning to produce calamine lotion in the preparation room, dispensing Chinese herbal decoction pieces in the pharmacy, and even observing acupuncture practices. The diverse internship content helped students solidify their professional aspirations while discovering the fascination of Chinese medicine.
